Investing in Startups, Made Smarter.:

Turn insight into impact—and capital into success.

Why do Startups Fail?

Startups Fail—Not Because of the Product, But Due to Poor Governance

Only 1% of startups receive funding; of those, less than 5% survive beyond five years. The main reason? Not the product, but leadership failures, lack of strategy, and poor governance.

Investors take the risk, yet too often, they surrender control to entrepreneurs whose goals don’t always align with financial success. Without clear governance and strategy, even the best ideas collapse.

Right Questions - Find the Right Solutions

Investing in startups shouldn’t feel like playing the lottery. But with 95% of funded startups failing, most investors are left hoping for luck instead of relying on strategy.

🚨 Are you risking your money without a clear plan?

Without strong governance, leadership, and strategy, even the best ideas collapse. Yet, most failures have nothing to do with the product—they come from poor management, misaligned goals, and lack of control.

🔎 There’s a smarter way. Instead of gambling on the next big thing, ensure you have clarity, structure, and control over your investments.

I help investors identify hidden risks before they invest—not by offering one-size-fits-all solutions, but by asking the right questions to reveal weaknesses in governance, leadership, and strategy.

Mastering Strategy, Governance, and Leadership for Lasting Success

My expertise in strategy, governance, and leadership has been forged through decades of hands-on experience, rigorous academic study, and a deep commitment to understanding the forces that drive success.

I began my career in one of the world’s most competitive industries—diamond manufacturing in Antwerp, Belgium—ultimately rising to become the CEO of a global diamond company. Navigating high-stakes markets taught me that true success isn’t just about having a great product; it’s about making the right strategic decisions, leading with confidence, and ensuring strong governance.

Beyond business, my perspective has been shaped by 50 years of training in karate, where I earned a 4th dan black belt. Karate has reinforced that success is not about reacting to competition but mastering one’s own strategy and discipline—a lesson I apply directly to business leadership and governance.

My academic achievements provide the foundation for my strategic approach. With an MBA, a Ph.D. in marketing and luxury, and post-doctoral research in leadership, corporate governance, CSR, and ethics, I have developed a deep understanding of what makes organizations succeed or fail. Mentorship under Prof. Leslie de Chernatony sharpened my expertise in brand strategy, while my NLP Master Practitioner certification has helped me refine the art of strategic communication and influence.

I’ve spent decades advising businesses and investors on how to align governance, leadership, and strategy to drive sustainable success. Many failures come not from weak ideas, but from poor leadership, lack of governance, and strategic misalignment. My role is not to dictate solutions, but to ask the critical questions that expose hidden risks and unlock smarter decision-making.

If you’re an investor or business leader looking to gain clarity, take control, and build a strategy that ensures success, let’s talk. Together, we’ll transform uncertainty into a clear, actionable plan for leadership and growth.
